| 2008 at 2:00 pm at the Crescent Assembly of God Church. Rev L.D. Choate and Rev Mark Lemarr will officiate. The casket will be open at the church from 10:00 am until service time. Burial will be in the Crescent Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home. Robert was born February 8, 1937 in Crescent, OK to Harlan and Lillie (Frachsieur) Cox and died September 3, 2008 in the Hennessey Care Center. Robert was a life long member of Crescent Assembly of God Church. He was a member of the FFA during high school and showed pigs. He married Barbara Brown on May 24, 1958 in Crescent, OK. They moved to Enid in 1963 and he was employed by OG&E as a meter reader and was in collections when he retired after 32 years and 29 days. He started a successful custodial business, the Cox Custodial Service. Robert was an avid fisherman, and hunter, along with his faithful companion, Lolly ( a liver colored german short hair). He is survived by his daughters, Diana Copeland and husband, Bobby of Hennessey, OK, Tamara Thompson and husband, Curt of Plano, TX, Karla Batchelder and husband Todd of Enid, OK his fiancée, Sheila Fest of Enid, OK; seven grandchildren: Levi and Tyson Copeland of Hennessey, OK, Chase Cooper of Oklahoma City, OK, Cassandra Cooper of Enid, OK, Kane, Will, and Jack Batchelder of Enid; his brother, Alva Joe Cox of Pampa, TX and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife, Barbara, his parents, and sister, Tilda Cox. Memorials may be made to the Arthritis Foundation with Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home as custodian of the funds.
