The funeral service for Elmer Franklin Denton, age 87, will be held Friday, April
4, 2008, at 3:00 pm at the Christ United Methodist Church.  Rev Jim Jones will
officiate.  Burial will be in the Memorial Park Cemetery.  Arrangements are
under the direction of Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home.

Elmer was born October 16, 1920 in Burkburnett, TX to James Ethel and
Bertha Mae (Stewart) Denton and died April 1, 2008 in Enid, OK.  He attended
school in Asher, OK.

He married Margaret Kathleen Roach on May 16, 1942 in St Louis, OK.  She
preceded him in death on April 4, 2000.

He worked for McDonald-Douglas Aircraft in Midwest City, OK and the Civilian
Conservation Corps in Casper, WY during WWII.  He began working for Cities
Service Oil Company in 1943 and retired from Conoco, in Ponca City, OK in
1983.

He and Kathleen were avid golfers and enjoyed traveling.  In later years, they
enjoyed playing pitch with their friends at the Wheatheart Senior Center.

Elmer is survived by his children: Ward Denton and his wife Jackie of
Jacksonville, FL, Larry Denton and his wife Roberta of Enid; grandchildren: Ray
Denton of Jacksonville, FL, Bruce Denton and his wife Melissa of Thomasville,
GA, and Jonathan Denton and his wife, Stephanie of Plano, TX.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Kathleen, his brother,
Curtis Denton and his sister, Cora Krause.

Memorials may be made to Oklahoma School for the Deaf, 1100 E Oklahoma,
Sulphur, OK, 73086 with Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home as custodian of the
