| Funeral services for Ivan L. Dunsworth, 73 will be 2:00 PM Monday February 18, 2008 at the Christ United Methodist Church with Rev. Jim Jones officiating. Burial will be in the Pleasant View Cemetery at Jet. Funeral services are under the direction of Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home. Visitation will be 6:00 to 7:30 Sunday evening in the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the Lions Club in Ivan’s memory with the funeral home custodian of the funds. Ivan was born January 17, 1935 in Jet to Ewell and Opal Nimmo Dunsworth and passed away early Saturday, February 16, 2008 after a short illness. He graduated from Jet High School and married Alice Blackledge July 21, 1953 in Wichita. He farmed in the Jet community until started driving a truck. They moved to Nebraska where he drove a truck for Dahlsten Truck lines and he started working for Farmland Industries. The family moved to Enid when Farmland built the Enid plant and Ivan worked there retiring with 34 years of service. Ivan and Betty Schenk were married in 2003 at the Christ United Methodist Church. He was a member of the Christ United Methodist Church, member of the board of trustees, long time member of the lions club, presently was bulletin editor with the Briggs Lions Club, he was a past president and had held several other offices, member of the Moose Lodge, and Senior Bowling League at Oakwood Bowl. brother, Larry J. Dunsworth, Sister-in-law, Bertha Dunsworth, an infant brother, Robert Dunsworth, and 5 grandchildren. He is survived by wife, Betty and her two sons, 4 sons, Dwight and wife Kay, Gary and wife Tina, Dale and wife Jan and Alan; 2 daughters, Dana Nance and husband Jim, and Brenda Carr and husband Patrick; 14 grandchildren; 2 brothers, Ewell Edward “Dunny” Dunsworth and wife Jane, William “Bill” Dunsworth ; sister, Eunice “Sis” Pulver and husband, Roy; and sister-in-law Wanda Dunsworth. |
