| Funeral services for Phyllis Irene Ester, age 81 of Carrier will be held 3 pm Tuesday at the Willow View Methodist church with Rev. Lesly Broadbent officiating. Burial will follow in the Rose Hill Cemetery under the direction of Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6 - 7:30 pm Monday. The casket will be open at the funeral home until 1 p.m. Tuesday. Phyllis was born November 16, 1926 in Lahoma, OK, to Fredrick C. Moehle and Irene H. Stahmer. She died Saturday, January 12, 2008 in Hennessey, OK. She was raised and lived in the Carrier/Lahoma area. She received her BBA degree from University of Texas where she was active in athletics and a member of WICA, Canter Club and Gamma Delta. She was employed as a statistician for Deep Rock Oil Company in Tulsa, a member of Beta Sigma Phi and active in AAU Phyllis was a member of Garfield County Rural Rotatory from 1959-2006. She cooperated a grain and livestock farm since 1952 and was active in the Oklahoma Short Horn Assn. She was a charter member of the Cherokee Strip Roundup club, a member of the state championship meat identification, livestock and poultry judging teams and held various offices in the Carrier Extension Homemakers, Oklahoma Lassie and Farm Bureaus Women Committees. She is survived by her husband Ray Ester, one son Phil Ray and his wife Brandy of Carrier, four grandchildren, Tristan Ray and Marquie RheAnn of Lahoma, Robert Brandon and Whitney Rachel of Carrier, two sisters Velda Rivenburg of Lahoma, Thelma Rackley of College Station, TX, and number of nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents Fredrick Moehle and Iren Stahmer Moehle. Memorials may be made to the Rose Hill Cemetery in Carrier, OK with Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home serving as custodians of the fund. |
