| A funeral service for Marilyn “Boyd” Gilbert Murphy, age 55 of Garber, will be 2:00 Rev Don Tines will officiate. Burial will be at 5:00 pm in the Morrison Cemetery, Morrison, OK. Arrangements are under the direction of Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home. She was born August 29, 1953 in Wichita, KS to Russell Eugene and Elma May Webb Boyd and died Saturday morning, September 20, 2008 in Integris Bass Baptist Health Center. She grew up in Morrison area until the late 1960’s when the family moved to Covington. In 1971 she graduated from Morrison High School. After graduation, Marilyn attended Beauty College. In 1986 she received accreditation over the Correspondence School in Lock Smithing. During her working career, Marilyn held positions as a Certified Med-Aid in many institutions, including Greenbrier Nursing, Garber Nursing, The Methodist Home which is now The Commons, Enid State School which is now N.O.R.C.E. and her last job before her illness with the Sunnyside Center. In 1994 she married Anthony “Tony” Gilbert. Marilyn is survived by her children, René and husband, Robert Nelson of Ponca City, Robert Jr and his wife Courtney Venable of Enid, Jarrod Hobson of Oklahoma City, John Hobson Jr of Waukomis, Eddie Barnett Jr and Laura Roberts both of Enid, Justin Hobson of Waukomis, Amy Hobson and Sammy Womack all of Garber, 12 grandchildren and a multitude of step-grandchildren; soon to be great granddaughter, two sisters, Linda Jefferson, Stella and husband, Ricky Deeds all of Garber and a brother, Willie Masters of Morrison. She is preceded in death by her parents, Russell and Elma Webb Boyd; a step father, William Masters, Sr and a grandson, Trenton Lee Shaffer.
