Arrangements are entrusted with Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home. After a long Battle with health problems, Kerrie Waynell Jenkins Listak Goodnight passed away on October 24, 2009 in Enid at the Northwest Specialty Hospital. Kerrie was born on April 25, 1958 in San Francisco, CA to parents Raymond Jenkins and Anna Waynette Lindsey. Later in life Kerrie’s mother remarried Jerry Listak and she and the entire family moved to Lahoma where she grew up. Kerrie attended school at Lahoma Public Schools and got her high school diploma later in life. She also received her nurse aide and med aide certification at Autry Technology Vocational School in Enid, OK. Later she received her pharmacy tech certification. On June 24, 1974 at the age of 16 Kerrie married Larry Helgeson, to this union were born two daughters, Kerrie Christal and Jessica Leanne. Then Kerrie move to Texas and met the lover of her life, Charles Edward Goodnight. They were married in Mesquite, TX on June 5, 1978. This marriage was blessed with one son Kenneth Ray. Charlie and Kerrie lived in Houston and Rockwall, TX. Then they moved back to Lahoma where Kerrie spent the remainder of her years. Over the years Kerrie worked as a certified med aide and nurse’s aide. Kerrie’s last job was Pharmacy Tech at Wal-Mart Pharmacy. Kerrie loved to fish, cook, sew, read a good book, and watch scary movies. She also loved to be with her dog Callie and her family and friends. Her laughter, smile and witty sense of humor will be so missed. She was a wonderful mother, daughter, sister, grandma, and friend, who added to each life she touched. She is survived by her children Kerrie Burgess and her husband Mark of Enid, Kenneth Goodnight and wife Jennifer of Lahoma. She is also survived by her mother and step father Anna Waynette and Jerry Listak of Lahoma, her sisters Christal Skulborstad and husband Mark of New Caney, TX, Terry Turner and husband Rob of Minot, ND, Tamara Shroyer of Enid, Renee Coaley and husband Jay of Lahoma, Jordell Vodry of Yukon, and one brother Jerry Listak and wife Kelly of Clinton, seven grandchildren, Britney and Bradley Goodnight, Brandon and Kateland Seal, Preston and Jennie Burgess and Christopher Schaffler. Kerrie has many nieces, nephews, and friends who will greatly miss her. Kerrie was preceded in death by her infant daughter Jessica, three nephews, her sister Ginger Wilson, and her husband Charlie Goodnight. Heaven latest angel has won her wings today. Memorials may be made to the Zion Lutheran Church Cemetery in Kerrie’s name with Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home serving as custodians of the fund. |
