The funeral service for Albert P “Lefty” Ramirez, age 94, will be held Monday,
February 23, 2009 at 10:00 am at the Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home Chapel.  
Pastor Rose Marie Leroy will officiate.  Burial will be in the Enid Cemetery.

Albert was born November 10, 1914 in Leon Guanajuata, Mexico to Canuto P and
Ana Cleta Lopez Ramirez and died February 19, 2009 at the VA Center, Lawton,
OK.  

He served in the US Army during WWII in the 362nd infantry division in Rome, Italy,
for the Arno, North Apennines and Po Valley battles.  He earned the WWII victory
ribbon, 3 bronze service stars, the European Theatre ribbon and the good conduct
medal.

He married Faye Roten on September 1, 1940.  She preceded him in death June 1,
1992.

Albert worked as a reconditioning manager for Northcutt Chevrolet for 37 years.  He
was a member of the Bethany United Methodist Church.

He is survived by several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Faye, brothers, Tony Ramirez,
Aurelius Ramirez, Benny Ramirez, Bill Ramirez and sister, Hermila Delagado.

Memorials may be made to Bethany United Methodist Church or VA Center in
Lawton with Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home as custodian of the funds.
