| The funeral service for Velta Charlene Schaefer, age 88 will be held Tuesday, July 14, 2009 at 10:00 am at the Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home Chapel. Rev Eric Brown will officiate. Burial will be in the Memorial Park Cemetery. Velta was born November 1, 1920 in Anoka, NE to L L Keeler and Mabel Anderson Keeler and died July 10, 2009 at the Commons Methodist Care Center. She was raised in Nebraska. She married Otto Schaefer on August 19, 1938 in Burke, S.D. She moved to Oklahoma in 1991 from Borger, TX. She was a member of the Zion Lutheran Church of Lahoma. She is survived by her children: Harold Schaefer of Bartlesville, OK, Kenneth Schaefer of Ponca City, OK, Robert Schaefer of Red Oak, IA and Radean Reed of Lahoma, OK; 9 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; and her sister, Veryl Orr of Lincoln, NE. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Otto, three sisters and five brothers.
