Bill L. Walker, Sr. 79 passed away Monday afternoon at his home after a period of
ill health.  Memorial services will be 11:00 AM Saturday June 20, 2009 in the
Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Don Tines officiating.  
Arrangements are by Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home.

Bill was born December 18, 1929 in Fayetteville, Arkansas to Lewis and Beulah
Lamb Walker.  Bill graduated from High School and then joined the US Air Force
July 3, 1948 and was honorably discharged June 3, 1949.  Bill owned and
operated Walker Vacuum since 1956.  He married Joan “Joni” Jerrells Paris
November 25, 1983 in Enid.  

Bill was a member of the Kiwanis Club and was instrumental in construction of
the rail bed for the train at Meadow Lake Park.  Life member and  32 degree
Mason and the Eastern Star, Life member of the Enid Chamber of Commerce, Life
member of NRA and member of the Golden Eagles, Noon AMBUCS and had been
on the board of the Cherokee Strip Stampede Rodeo, He was on the first board of
directors of Crime Stoppers, Moose Lodge, First United Methodist Church.  He
was preceded in death by his parents and a sister Lenora Stoner.

Bill is survived by his wife Joni of the home, three daughters, Jayna Walker-Pearcy
and her husband Dean, Laguna Beach, Calif.; Sally Cordes and husband Fred,
Escondido, Calif; Elizabeth “Liz” Walker Hronopulos and husband Richard, Austin,
Texas; a son Bill L Walker, Jr. and his wife Cynthia,  Allen, Texas;  stepsons Roger
Paris II and his wife Phyllis Layden, and Geoff Paris and Kristi Hale all of Dallas,
grandchildren Kristen Torkelson, David Cordes, Isiah, Jeremiah, and Benjamin
Walker and Rachel Paris, great grandchildren Calvin, Finn, and Duncan Torkelson
and Riley Cordes, Two sisters, Maxine Weaver and Betty Maddox, both of Ponca
City.

Memorials may be given in Bill’s name to Oklahoma Heart Assoc., Hospice Circle
of Love, or Enid Crime Stoppers with the funeral home custodian of the funds.
