| The funeral for Marvin J Wells, age 80 will be held Monday, April 19, 2010 at 10:00 am at the Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home Chapel. Rev Carrel Still will officiate. Burial will be in the Pleasant View Cemetery, Jet, OK. Marvin was born August 19, 1929 in Enid, OK to Carl S and Essie B (Tarr) Wells and died April 16, 2010 in Integris Bass Baptist Health Center, Enid, OK. He graduated from Jet High School. He served in the U S Airforce and was discharged in March of 1953. On April 25, 1968 he married Dolores Miller in Woodward, OK. She preceded him in death on November 21, 2005. Marvin was a member of the Willow Road Christian Church, American Legion, VFW, DAV, Corinthian Lodge 307, 32nd Degree of Scottish Rite. Survivors include two sons, Sherwood Wells and wife Susan of Avon Park, FL, Michael Wells of Rehoboth Beach, DE, stepson Leland Cheap and wife Jody of Schertz, TX and stepdaughter, Becky Ratliff and husband, Beno of Woodward, OK; seven grandchildren and eight great grandchildren; sisters: Vivian Watson of Spavinaw, OK and Doris Jones and husband David of Enid, OK and brother-in-law of Strang, OK. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Delores; two brothers and two sisters. Memorials may be made to the United Methodist Church of Jet with Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home as custodian of the funds. Condolences may be emailed to the family at ladusauevans@suddenlinkmail.com. |
