| The mass of Christian burial for Harvey J White, age 79, will be held Friday, April 24, 2009 at 2:00 pm at the St Gregory the Great Catholic Church. Rev Larry Kowalski will officiate. Burial will be in the Enid Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home. Harvey Joe White was born in Enid to Harvey Stephen and Catherine Barbara (Apel) White on August 2, 1929 and died, April 19, 2009 at the Commons. He graduated from Waukomis High School and served in the United States Army from 1955 to 1956. He was stationed at Molesworth, England, where he met his future wife, Gillian “Jill” Lawton of Birmingham, England. They were married in Enid on July 12, 1957. Harvey worked for Northcutt Chevrolet for several years and at Northrop Worldwide Aircraft until his retirement. He also farmed south of Enid, retiring in 1999. He was a member of St. Gregory the Great Catholic Church, and was a volunteer at St Gregory’s Food Pantry. He is survived by his wife, Jill, of the home, one daughter, Kerry Jill McKaig and her husband, Joe of Idaho Falls, ID and grandsons, mark Timothy McKaig and Andrew Joseph McKaig. He is also survived by his beloved pets, Tiki, Catrina and Ebony. He was preceded in death by his parents, his brother, Robert and his sister, Barbara. Memorials may be made to St. Gregory’s Food Pantry or the Enid S.P.C.A. with Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home as custodian of the funds.
