| A funeral service for Elton F Whitfill will be held Friday, May 30, 2008 at 4:00 pm at the Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home Chapel. Rev Jeff Jackson, Chapin of Hospice Circle of Love will officiate. A graveside service will be held, Monday, June 2, 2008 in the Memorial Park Cemetery, Kansas City, MO at 10:00 am. Rev Gary Armour will officiate. He was born September 1, 1913 in Topeka, KS to Mark J and Jennie J (Cook) Whitfill and passed away early Thursday, May 29, 2008 in The Commons. He attended Central Junior and High School in Kansas City, MO, and later attended Kansas City Junior College and graduated. He married Mary Frances Major on June 10, 1935. He worked as a general foreman for North American Aviation and later was owner/operator of the Acme Pattern and Model Works. He was a member of Countryside Christian Church in Overland Park, KS. He moved to Enid in March of 2006. Survivors include his wife Mary Frances of the home, son Scott and his wife Carol Whitfill of Sunrise Beach, MO, daughter, Joyce Caven and her husband “J D” of Sunrise Beach, MO, son, Steven and his wife Debbie Whitfill of Enid; grandchildren, Mark, Brian, Andrea, John, Lindsay, Jennifer and David; and nine great grandchildren. Memorials may be made to Hospice Circle of Love with Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home as custodian of the funds. Condolences may be emailed to the family at ladusauevans@suddenlinkmail.com. |
