Obituary for Jodean Chesnut

Memorial Services for Jodean Chesnut will be 2:00 P.M. Thursday March 28, 2013 at the Waukomis United Methodist Church. The Rev. Garry Vincent will officiate the service. Burial of the cremains will follow in the Waukomis Cemetery. A family visitation will be held from 7:00 - 8:00 P.M. Wednesday evening at the Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home.

Jodean Chesnut was born August 7, 1923 in Enid, Oklahoma to Charles Ernest Rapp and
Dessie Mae Taylor Rapp and passed away March 24, 2013 at Golden Oaks Village.

Jodean was raised in the Waukomis area. Jodean married James W Jay Chesnut on April
13, 1943 in Neosho, Missouri. Made their home in the Drummond Area, moving to Enid in
1972. They have resided at Golden Oaks Village for 17 years.

Jodean was a wife, sister, Aunt, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and loved by all that met her. Her family for 2 children increased to 7 grandchildren and their spouses and 17 great-grandchildren. She worked at SW Bell Telephone as a telephone operator and with her husband at the Enid Livestock Market on sale days.

Jodean was a member of Waukomis Oklahoma Eastern Star Chapter #137; Past Grand Ruth in 1987 and a lifetime member of OES. Jodean was also a member of the Enid Shrine Club Ladies; Drummond Study Club; the Waukomis Methodist Church. She also enjoyed Tuesday morning Breakfast at the Ramada; Volunteer with Bass Hospital

Survivors include: a son, Tim Chesnut and his wife Thelma; a daughter, Kathi Chesnut; Granddaughter Bengi Beebe and her husband Tim and their children Jessica, Jacob, Joshua, and Jennifer. Granddaughter Torrie Vann and her husband Jason and their children Randa & Briley; Granddaughter Kimi Vesta and her husband Chad and their children Cade & Camden; Granddaughter Tennille Chesnut and Cheyenne Watashe and their daughter Jaidan and son Sage; Granddaughter Kati St John and her husband Brandon and their children Abigail, Brady, & Ethan James; Grandson Tony Chesnut and his children Carter and Callie; Granddaughter Tianne Dent and her husband Ryan and their children Drake and
Hailee.


She was preceded in death by Jay her husband, her parents, 2 sisters Lorraine, Ernestine, a
brother Doug and 2 grandchildren.

Memorials may be made to Waukomis United Methodist Church with Ladusau-Evans serving as custodians of the fund.
