Glenn was born in Ringwood, Oklahoma, March 24, 1923 to Allie and John Harmon and died August 18, 2014 in Enid. They moved to Enid where he attended school and graduated in 1941. Upon graduation he joined the Air Force for 38 months as an aircraft mechanic.

He married Tommie Lou Mudgett February 15, 1946 and they had one son, Jerry Glenn Harmon. He became a member of the Enid Police Department in 1947, retiring as a Captain after a record of 38 years. During his time on the force, he organized a police basketball and tennis teams for his “boys”. He and his brother Gene also organized a boy’s and girl’s “PAL” club and taught young people to play tennis. He also coached tennis for a while at Phillips University. Shelves of trophies speak of his ability as a winner himself!
