Graveside services for Lester L. Ging age 80 of Enid will be 2:00 pm Monday, February 1, 2016 at the Carmen City Cemetery with Rev. Neal Gordon officiating. The family will receive friends on Sunday from 4:00 to 5:00 at the funeral home. Arrangements are under direction of Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home.
Lester was born April 26, 1935 in Alva, to Joe and Eunice Razey Ging and was the oldest of nine children. Lester passed away, January 27, 2016. He attended school and graduated from Carmen High School in 1953. Lester played basketball and football. He married Freda Woodring on October 29, 1955 at the First Nazarene Church in Alva and she passed away August 16, 2015, just short of their 60th Anniversary.
Lester worked for Alfalfa County for 2 years before starting to work for Cummins Construction Co. in 1957 and retired in 1994, everyone knew him as the “Fat Man on the front end loader”.
Lester is survived by his daughter, Charlotte Culver and her husband Duane, grandson Kyle Culver and girlfriend Shaelee Roberts all of Enid, Sister Nina Miles and husband George of Hilton, NY and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Freda, three brothers and four sisters.
