Obituary for Phil Buller

Phil Buller
A Celebration of Life service for Phil Buller, age 63 years, of Enid, will be 10:00 am, Saturday, June 25, 2016 at Willow View United Methodist Church with Pastor Lesly Broadbent officiating. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Ladusau-Evans funeral Home.

Phil was born to Paul and Evelyn (Wichert) Buller June 20, 1953 in Enid, and passed away Monday, June 20, 2016.

Phil attended Enid Public Schools and is a graduate of Enid High School Class of 1971. A hard worker, Phil began working for Bill and Marjorie Bunch at the age of 16, which began his life-long career with Kentucky Fried Chicken. He married Lisa Lawver in 1982 and they both worked to grow their business while giving back to the community they love best, Enid.

Giving back to the community was a high priority for Phil. His undeniable leadership always led to an efficient and effective plan, which was always inclusive and propelled each organization forward for the best. Phil served two terms as President of KFC’s South West Regional Franchise Association, represented Oklahoma as a state director for the KFC board. He was involved in the KFC mentor program. Phil was currently serving as president of the board of directors at Oakwood Country Club. He was a past member of Enid Ambucs.

Phil loved his family and friends. He was bigger than life, a man with a plan and a smile. He had a wry sense of humor and an eye for detail. He was blessed to live life the way he wanted, golfing almost daily with Lisa by his side.

He loved Christmas, helping children, golf, bright colors, a good joke, entertaining, laughter and being with family. His impact will be felt for generations to come.

He is survived by his wife Lisa, of the home in Enid; four children, Jeremy Buller and wife Jayme, of Tulsa; Candice and Dave Henderson, of Kuna, Idaho; Andrea Cremer and husband Jon, of Burlington, New Jersey; Thomas Buller and wife Laura, of Kansas City, Missouri; six grandchildren, Skylar, Kennedy, Brecken, Olivia, Ellie, Arbor, and one on the way; five siblings, Barbara Nightingale and husband DeWayne, Lonnie Buller and wife Kay, Larry Buller and wife Bobette, Beverly Ediger and husband Curtis, Brenda Arnold and husband Kenny, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and other family and friends.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Paul and Evelyn Buller, and one granddaughter, Finley Jo Buller.

Memorials are asked to be made to Youth and Family Services of Northwest Oklahoma-Project Santa with Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home serving as custodian of the funds.

In Phil’s honor, those attending the service are asked to wear bright and colorful clothing.

In case of overflow, parking will be available at Grace Mennonite Church at the corner of Oakwood and Purdue. A shuttle will be available.
