A Celebration of Life for Barbara E. Stephens, 88, of Lahoma will be Tuesday, June 28, 2016, 2:00 PM at the Golden Oaks Chapel. Interment will follow in the Fort Gibson National Cemetery on Wednesday, June 29, 2016, 2:00 PM. Mrs. Stephens was born November 26, 1927 and passed away June 24, 2016.

Barbara was united in marriage to Virgil Stephens October 26, 1954 in Sapulpa, OK and he preceded her in death April 14, 2016. She was a member of the United Church of Lahoma. Barbara loved to knit, crochet and making crafts. Barbara will be remembered for her joyful personality and loved preparing food for her family and friends.

Survivors include three sons, James Stephens of Lahoma, Virgil Stephens III and his wife Debora of Georgetown, DE and Robert Stephens and his wife Sherea of Missouri, a daughter, Catherine Burby and her husband John of Waukomis, OK, eight grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by a son, Edward King, her parents, two sisters and one brother.
