Condolence From: John R. Johnson
Condolence: Janice and I send our love and sympathy. We cherish our memories of our years together in Enid and lots of tacos and card games around the dining room table. We remember you coming to see us after we moved to Ohio, and coming back to see you when we returned to Phillips for Ministers' Week. Remember when you came to see us in Nixa and Abby fell down the basement steps? Good times, good memories. Blessings to all of Gary's loved ones and friends. John and Janice Johnson

Condolence: I have known Gary since I was 6 yrs.old. He was my bus driver all through elementary school and my brothers teacher and my teacher. Although I have been away from Enid now for 25 years my family has always kept me up to speed with him...until FB. I loved catching up with him and chatting with him on FB. I loved all of his posts about education, his lovely wife Arleene, and his girls and grandbabies. He always made me smile or chuckle. He will be sorely missed. He was one of the greats.

Condolence From: Vaughn Rader
Condolence: Mr. Roberts(Gary)took about 10 of us male 6th graders to a farm by Carmen about 1976 for an entire weekend of camping and being outdoors. It was a fun, learning weekend. It made such an impression on me and it was only for the weekend. It would be unheard of in today's times. We got to fish, explore, hike, throw rocks in the pond, etc. He made a bigger impact on me as a teacher than any other teacher and I never really got to thank him for that. I am fortunate to be one of his past students.
