Obituary for LaJoyce Corbett Ice

LaJoyce Corbett Ice was born December 5, 1922 to J.I. and Mildred Corbett in

Perryton, TX. She graduated from Carrier High School and then joined the Retail

Business World in Enid, OK. She married Alvin Ice and they continued to make

their home in Enid, until the Retail Shoe Business took them to Texas with the

Harwin Shoe Company. Alvin was buyer and manager of shoes in a Temple, TX

store and Joyce was buyer of handbags for numerous Harwin Shoe Departments.

After her husband’s death in Temple, TX where they resided, she moved to Broken

Arrow leaving the retail shoe business to work at Arkansas Valley Bank. She then

left the bank to become an associate with Cody’s Medical Repair and Supply and

continued there until retiring. Her father, mother, husband, brother and sisters

preceded her in death. One brother in law, Jim Yell resides in Lahoma, OK. She

leaves nephews, Dennis Diener, Dr Scott Diener, Nick Diener and John Corbett,

two nieces, Brenda Diener and Susan Hornberger.



Graveside services will be Monday, February 14, 2011 at 2:00 pm at the Memorial

Park Cemetery, Enid, OK. Condolences may be emailed to the family at
