The Memorial Service for Mary June Rempel will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, March 24th, at Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home, with the Rev. Al McVety officiating. Interment will be private.
Mary June was born in Reedley, California, on August 31, 1923, to D.A. and Mary (Wiens) Enns and went to be with her Lord on March 6, 2017, passing away at St. Mary’s Hospital in Enid, Oklahoma.
She grew up on a farm and attended schools in Drummond, Oklahoma. She married Bennie Rempel on February 6, 1944. They soon moved to Reedley, California, where they raised their two sons, Paul and Rod. Following the death of Bennie in 1996, Mary June returned to Enid to be near her farm and family.
She was a lifelong member of the Mennonite Brethren Church and upon return to Enid attended the Cornerstone Evangelical Free Church.
She is survived by her two sons: Paul and wife Jean of Fresno, California, and their daughters Jenny of Sacramento, California, and Anne of Palo Alto, California, and Rod and wife Barbara of Paris, France, and their sons Austin of New Haven, Connecticut, and Will of Boulder, Colorado; sister, Martha Jean Wiens and husband Don of Garden City, Kansas; sister-in-law Rose (Earl) Enns of Waukomis, Oklahoma, along with many nieces and nephews and their families.
Mary June was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Bennie, and her brother Earl.
Memorials may be made to Samaritan’s Purse, International Relief, P.O. Box 3000, Boone, NC 28607, or Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home will be serving as custodians of the funds.
