A Celebration of Life for Mattie Roberta Oswalt, age 86, of Kremlin, is 10:00 am, Saturday, July 8, 2017 at Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home Chapel. Reverend Leland Streck will officiate, with burial following in Hillsdale Cemetery. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Ladusua-Evans Funeral Home. Mattie was born November 4, 1930 in Bucklin, Kansas to Herman and Alberta (Burton) Minnis and passed away Wednesday, July 5, 2017 at the Community Health Center in Wakita, Oklahoma.

Mattie graduated from Bucklin High School in 1948. She married Warren Galen Oswalt, September 12, 1948 in Bucklin, Kansas. Warrens 38 year career with Rock Island Railroad took them to Kansas, then back to Oklahoma, where they made their permanent home in Kremlin, Oklahoma following his retirement.

Mattie is survived by three children and their spouses, Warren G. Oswalt, Jr. and wife Pamela, of Okeene, OK; Lark Schultz and husband Mike, of Hillsdale, OK; Robert Joe Oswalt and wife Rosa of Brooksville, FL; nine grandchildren; fourteen great-grandchildren with one on the way; and one sister, Jean Dewell, of Winfield, KS.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Warren G. Oswalt; and three siblings.

The family has requested memorial donations be made to Hillsdale Christian School with Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home serving as custodian of the funds.
