Obituary for Keith A. Schoeling (Schoeling)

A Celebration of Life service for Keith Schoeling age 91 of Covington will be 2:00 pm Thursday, January 4, 2018 at the St. John’s Lutheran Church with Rev. Christopher Griffith officiating. Burial will follow in the Zion Lutheran Cemetery, Fairmont under the direction of Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home.
Keith was born November 9, 1926 in Fairmont, OK to Erhardt and Pauline Frickenschmidt Schoeling and passed away at his home on December 30, 2017. He grew up in Fairmont and attended school in Garber. He joined the U. S. Army on February 15, 1945 and was discharged in November 1947. He moved back to the Fairmont Community where he farmed all of his life. Keith worked as equipment operator for Garfield County, retiring after several years. He was an active member of St. John’s Lutheran Church. He married Oletha Helberg in November 1947 and she passed away February 10, 1976. He married Ruby Heydman Kaiser January 28, 1978 and she passed away December 3, 2015. He enjoyed his farming and looked forward to wheat harvest every year. In his later years he enjoyed going to Covington football and softball games and going to the casino.
He is survived by his daughter Brenda Stanley and husband Farrell of Perry, OK, step children; Max Kaiser and wife Katie, Mike Kaiser and wife Terry, 8 grandchildren, Jos Stanley, Brooke Schoeling, Travis Schoeling, Stacie Kaiser, Traci Kaiser, Bonnie Kaiser-Gambill, Cari McCartney, and Calli Kaiser, 6 great grandchildren, 3 brothers; Glen Schoeling and wife Louise, Richard Schoeling, and Larry Schoeling, several other family members. He was preceded in death by his parents, two sons, Roger and Lelon Schoeling, and 3 brothers, Kenneth, Virgil, and Edgar.
Memorials may be made to Tri County Senior Center or American Legion with Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home serving as custodians of the funds.
