Obituary for Margaret Peggy Hall (German)

A Celebration of Life Service for Margaret “Peggy” Hall age 91 of Enid will be 2:00 pm Friday, January 12, 2018 at Ladusau-Evans Chapel with Rev. Vernon Lee officiating. Burial will follow in Ames Cemetery under the direction of Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home.
Peggy was born September 17, 1926 in Warrenton, Virginia to Elzie and Grace Kerns German and passed away Monday, January 8, 2018. She grew up in Virginia and graduated from Washington-Lee High School in Arlington, VA. She met Merl Hall during WW II and they were married on September 26, 1944 in Washington, DC. They moved back to Ames following the war. She was a member of the 1st Christian Church of Ames. In 1965, they moved to Enid. She later became a member of Central Christian Church. Peggy and Merl loved to dance, loved her kids and grandkids. She always had a present for her family when they came to visit. They loved to travel and take the grandkids with them. Merl passed away October 13, 1990. She met Jim Walta in 2003 and they were beloved friends for 8 years.
Peggy is survived by her children; Margaret Lee Lackey and husband Ed of San Marcos, CA, Chuck Hall and wife Barbara of Sperry, OK, Roberta Williams and Steve Cash of Ft. Worth, TX, 4 grandchildren; Chuck Hall, Ron Hall, Tim Williams, and Brenda Clark, 12 great grandchildren, and 7 great-great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by 6 brothers, 4 sisters, and a beloved friend Jim Walta.
