A Celebration of Life for Rebecca Lea Cunningham Stobaugh Estle, is 1:00 pm, Saturday, February 3, 2018 at Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home Chapel. Rebecca was born November 19, 1947 in Enid at St. Mary’s Annex. She joined the family of her older sister Mary, and her parents John and Lois (Hotson) Cunningham. She passed away on Sunday, January 28, 2018 in Enid.

Rebecca started school at Roosevelt and then went to Coolidge when the family moved, then in 1960 she lost her father. After graduating from Enid High in 1966, she worked at NORCE for a short period of time before going to work in the surgery department at Bass Hospital. Dr. Jerome Dilling sent her for special training to be a certified surgical technician so she could work for him in surgery, which she did for the next 35 years.

She had two younger brothers, John and Robert, who were both born on January 1st, two years apart and they completed the family. After marrying Elwyn Stobaugh in 1977, they adopted a baby girl on April 30, 1983 and named her Amanda Rae. She is now grown and was married last September to Zachary Hollandsworth. Rebecca married Jerry Estle in 2003 and added a son, Jeremy, and daughter-in-law Emily Estle, and another daughter, Alisha Estle, plus grandchildren, Jacobi, Addison, Ryan and Ian. When she met Jerry, he asked her two questions: 1) do you like to fish, and 2) do you ride Harley’s. The answer to both questions was yes, he had found his dream mate! Rebecca and Jerry were married in
September of 2003.

Rebecca was a 50 year member of the Order of Eastern Star, Chapter 36 in Enid.

She is preceded in death by her father, John Cunningham; paternal grandparents, Ira and Frances Cunningham; maternal grandparents, James and Norma Hotson, brother-in-law, Delmer Brune; two sisters-in-law, Susan James and Wanda Sawyer; an infant niece, three month old Sabrina Lynn Cunningham; as well as several aunts and uncles.
