A Celebration of Life for Billie Mae Mootz, age 79, of Enid, is 10:00 am, Saturday, May 5, 2018 in the Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Steve Williams officiating. Interment will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday, May 4th, from 6:00 to 8:00 pm. Billie was born in Enid, Oklahoma on May 14, 1938, the daughter of James E. and Rozella (Holt) Dutton, and passed away on Monday, April 30, 2018 at Integris Bass Baptist Hospital in Enid.

Billie graduated from Enid High School in 1956. After graduation she began her 50+ year career at Vance Air Force Base, where she met the love of her life, Richard L. Mootz, which she later married on March 16, 1957. Billie retired in 2009 as a fuels accountant at the age of 71. Billie was a member of Calvary Baptist Church where she also served as Treasurer of her Fidelis Sunday School Class.

She is survived by her five children, Ronnie and Deb Mootz; Gary Mootz; Allen Mootz; Carl and Sheryl Mootz; and Pam and Sam Mootz. She is also survived by her 12 grandchildren, Shannon, Shawn, Shay, and Shad Mootz; Nathan and Cassi Mootz; Tiffany (Mootz) Weimer and Chelsi Mootz; Brandon, Megan and Trevor Galusha; 3 step-grandchildren, Chris Harding, J.C. Spray and Sisaly Hepner; and 13 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her sister, Janet L. Chavez. Billie’s grandchildren were the light of her life. Billie enjoyed attending every event or activity that any of her grandchildren were in. Billie also enjoyed teaching them how to play cards but most of all spending quality time with each of them.

Billie is preceded in death by her parents, James E. and Rozella Dutton; husband, Richard L. Mootz; and one brother, Jerry E. Dutton.
