Hal Homer Hubbart was born May 18, 1959 in Enid, Oklahoma to Jane (Lamunyon) and Duaine Hubbart and passed away peacefully at his home in Watonga, OK on October 16, 2018 surrounded by family and friends.

Hal attended First Grade at Monroe Elementary in Enid, OK before his family moved to the country, east of Enid. He then went to Pleasant Vale Elementary and Pioneer High School, lettering in football, basketball and baseball. Hal graduated from Pioneer High School in 1977. After high school Hal attended one year at Northern Oklahoma College in Tonkawa, OK, before transferring to Oklahoma State University in Stillwater, OK. Hal graduated from Oklahoma State University in 1982 with a Bachelor of Science in Agriculture with a Forestry Resource Management degree. He was a member of the Xi Sigma Pi, Alpha Mu Chapter. In 1982 Hal was recruited by Halliburton and moved to Pampa, Texas where he met and married Jacquelyn Kelly. They were married from 1983 until 1989 and had one son Zachary Ean born July 19,1985. Hal spent his life teaching Zach everything from sports to hunting, fishing and driving his 1992 Dodge pickup. Instilling in him the love of the outdoors and the respect of all wildlife. Hal loved coaching Zach’s little league baseball and football teams including the skill of chess that he learned from his father.

In 1987 Hal moved back to Oklahoma and worked for Roman Nose State Park. He worked in the stables and maintenance before being promoted to Roman Nose State Park Golf Course, Manager. He managed Roman Nose Golf Course until 1992 when he decided to follow his father’s career and take a job with the United States Postal Service. Hal began his United States Postal Service career in El Reno, Oklahoma, working his way up through the ranks until 2004 when he was promoted to Postmaster in Watonga, Oklahoma. The true outdoorsman, Hal loved cookouts with friends and family and would rather be hunting, fishing and spending vacations at his family’s lake house on Beaver Lake in Arkansas. He took the trip of a lifetime in May of 2016 to Homer, Alaska with his son Zach, nephew Josh Koehn and brother-in-law Randy Koehn. Spending a week fishing for Halibut and King Salmon.
