Judy was The Vance AFB Angel, and never quit caring for others. Reminded in her service that thinking of our memories of her will bring her back by ourside, I look forward to experiencing that. Her favorite words: God Bless and God Speed.

I worked with Judy my entire career. She was absolutely the best. I will miss her annual updates on the Vance happenings. I'm so very sorry the ice will keep me from being there to show my respect. May she rest in peace.

Mary Lynn and I are so very sorry to learn of the death of Judy Ecker. What a consummate professional she was and what a dear friend to all our family. She was my “right arm” as I served as Wing Commander at Vance AFB 1988-89 and as we continued in friendship through the years. She always kept us informed on Vance and Enid happenings . Judy never forgot a birthday or an anniversary and made everyone feel like family. Judy Ecker was, without doubt, one if the finest Christian ladies we have ever met. We were privileged to know her and to work with her . Our loss is Heaven’s gain at this sad time. May she Rest In Peace. Ron Shamblin, Colonel USAF, Retired

I first met Judy when i was assigned to Vance AFB in 1988 as the then Base Commander. I was later assigned as the Wing Commander and Judy became my Administrative Assistance. She taught me everything I needed to know to command the Wing and the Base. She was absolutely superb. My wife Elouise and I got married at Vance and Judy was extremely helpful with introducing us to the Enid community. As a result we, still feel that we are members of the Enid and Vance AFB family. We stayed in touch with Judy over the years and will miss our conversations with her. Rest in Peace! General & Mrs. Lloyd Fig Newton
