Obituary for Donna Lee Wilson (Cavin)
A Celebration of Life for Donna Wilson, 68, of Enid, is 10:00 am, Saturday, May 18, 2019 at Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home. Chaplain Butch Phillips will officiate, with burial following at Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Friday, May 17th from 6:00 - 8:00 pm at the funeral home. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home.
Donna was born August 21, 1950 in Pratt, Kansas to Corwin and Thelma (Ward) Cavin, and passed away Wednesday, May 15, 2019 in Enid.
She married Warren Wilson, Jr on July 20, 1968 in Liberal, Kansas. They had one son, Warren Wilson, III. Donna ran an in-home daycare for many years and obtained many “adopted” children, many of whom she maintained contact with to this day. She was a dedicated homemaker; taking care of her family was her top priority. She was one of seven children, always taking time to connect with her siblings. She and Warren moved to Enid in 1998 when their only granddaughter, Faith, was born.
Donna enjoyed all types of artful expression including painting, quilting, music, making stained glass, woodworking, singing and writing; but her greatest joy was her family.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Corwin and Louise Ward; two brothers, Joe Lester Cavin and Corwin “Butch” Grant Cavin; and niece, Jamie. She is survived by her husband, Warren “Rusty” Wilson, Jr. of the home in Enid; son Warren Wilson, III and wife Becky, of Enid; granddaughter, Faith Wilson, of Enid; four sisters, Jean Howell and husband Terrell, of Corpus Christi, TX; Suzan Byron, of Liberal, KS; Kathy Stephens, of Liberal, KS; Ann Porterfield and husband Gary, of Balko, OK; as well as many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
