Obituary for Patricia Ann Clem (Brewer)

VServices for Patricia (Patty) Clem, 76 years, of Perry, are 2:00 pm, Thursday, May 30, 2019 at Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home with Reverend Vernon Lee officiating. Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home.
Patricia (Patty) Clem was born in Edinburg, Texas, on November 29, 1942, to Juanita and Woody Brewer. She married K.D. Clem on September 9, 1978. Patty was the mother to three daughters: Leigh Ann, Nanette, and Jamie. She was also the second mother to Pam and Brent.
Patty moved to Enid at the age of 4 where she attended Enid Schools and graduated in 1961. She had a wonderful childhood growing up in Enid and worked at many businesses including Newman’s, Pack-a-Sac, dental assistant to Dr. Forney to name a few. She also loved traveling with her brother, Gary, going to CB radio conventions and selling jewelry.
In 1967 Patty went to work at Vance Air Force Base in the Civil Engineering department for Contractor Serv Air. Patty loved her work and continued working at Vance through many changes eventually retiring from Northrup Worldwide after 33 years. After retirement, she worked briefly for DynCor and traveled to Dallas and Washington D.C. While working at Vance, she met the love of her life, K.D. Clem. It was definitely love at first sight; they dated two years before marrying in Reno, Nevada.
After retirement in 1999, K.D. and Patty moved to their place at Lake Eufaula. Patty loved living at the lake and always being together with K.D. They enjoyed boating, entertaining family and friends, and feeding all the animals that would come around including deer, squirrels, ducks, and geese. Patty also loved to try her hand at the casino and was not afraid to get up at karaoke night and belt a tune or two and play tambourine.
Patty enjoyed all of her family but most of all enjoyed her grandchildren. She never passed up an opportunity to see and spend time with them.
Together Patty and K.D. had a wonderful family including their five children; Leigh Ann Hardage and husband Kenneth, of Little Rock, Arkansas; Nanette Winkler and Landrum Johnson of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina; Jamie Layne and husband Roger of Perry, Oklahoma; Brent Clem of Los Angeles, California; and the late Pam Darby of Enid, Oklahoma. They had twelve grandchildren; Aaron, Jeffery, Hammond, Jessica, and Patricia Hardage; Erica, Chase, Corey, and Clayton Winkler; Trey and Raegan Layne, and Michelle Kokojan; five great-grandchildren, Miles, Eden, Oren and Doyle Hardage, and Bobby Kokojan. Patty is survived by a brother, Gary Brewer and wife Linda, of Oklahoma City.
Memorial contributions in Patty’s name may be made to Companion Hospice with Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home serving as custodian of the funds.
