I worked for Gene at the Enid State School from 1992 until he retired in 1995. He was the one that interviewed me and hired me. I always remembered how kind he always was. He always had an uplifting word to say. I knew he was retired military. But I did not know the details of his service, he never really talked about it. Knowing he was awarded two Bronze Stars just reinforces what I already knew about Gene. I am sad to hear of his passing, yet happy that he is seated in Heaven with the Lord. My sincere condolences to Bachman family.
