I first met Kenny the summer of 1964. We were both working at Vance Air Force base. He just finished his first year at Northwestern State College in Alva. I decided that summer to attend college and NSC sounded as good as any place to go. Kenny and I were roommates for 3 Years. Following college we served time in the Army but not together. Kenny later told me he took R and R in Hawaii and then flew on home to be with his girl friend for a few days. He went AWOL to see his gal. Fortunately, he returned to Hawaii in time to catch his flight back to Vietnam and the Army never found out.

Sorry to say we lost touch since about 1987 and I only learned of his passing while reading the Enid paper on-line today. My sincere condolences to Kenny’s family and friends. I know he will be missed.
