Obituary for Warren "Rusty" Wilson, Jr.

A Celebration of Life for Warren “Rusty” Wilson, Jr., 72 years, of Enid, is 10:00 am, Saturday, October 26, 2019 at Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home with Chaplain Butch Phillips of the Garfield Co. Sheriff’s Office to officiate. Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7:00 to 8:00 pm on Friday, October 25th at the funeral home. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home.

Rusty was born October 5, 1947 in Dallas, Texas to Warren and Sarrina Wilson, and passed away Tuesday, October 22, 2019 in Enid.

He married Donna Lee Cavin on July 20, 1968 in Liberal, Kansas. They had one son, Warren Wilson, III. He was the superintendent at Southgate Mall in Liberal, KS for many years. He was also a truck driver, and was very proud of his time in Iraq; serving alongside military servicemen and women and their allies as a contractor. He enjoyed many friendships while overseas. He and Donna moved to Enid in 1998 when their only granddaughter, Faith, was born. Rusty was also a Priest with the RLDS Church and married many of his family members, including his son and daughter-in-law. He continued to minister to groups and individuals until his passing.

He is preceded in death by his parents and wife Donna Lee Wilson. He is survived by his son, Warren Wilson, III and wife Becky, of Enid; granddaughter, Faith Ronistal and husband Stetson, of Enid; sister, Karen Price and husband Aubrey, of Ingleside, TX; brother, Ronald Wilson and wife Flor, of Red Oak, TX; brother, Arthur Wilson and wife Darla of Denver, CO; four sisters-in-law; as well as numerous nieces and nephews and cousins.

Memorials in Rusty’s name may be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital with Ladusau-Evans serving as custodian of the funds.
