Edith Eileen Sloan, 85, went to be with the Lord and her loving husband, May 4, 2020. She was born September 7, 1934 in Enid, Oklahoma to O.T. and Pearl Hazel (Warnaca) Hirst in Enid, Oklahoma. She has lived most of her life in the Enid area, she graduated from Enid High School. She married the love of her life and soulmate Don Sloan November 12, 1954 in Enid and to that union one child was born, Detra Edwards.
Edith was a collector of many things, especially her flowers. Orchids were her passion. She was a faithful and God fearing woman. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church for many years.
She is survived by her granddaughter, Audra Lunceford; great granddaughters, Syrin Lunceford, Destiny and Miracle Thrasher; a host of nieces, nephews, and other family members and friends.
Edith is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Don; daughter, Detra Edwards.
