Obituary for Jake Melvin Smith

Graveside services for Jake Smith will be held 10:00 a.m., Thursday, July 30, 2020 at Douglas Union Cemetery with Pastor Tom Donaldson officiating. Services are under the direction of Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home.
Jake was born September 14, 1926 in Meno, Oklahoma to Jacob and Lydia Koehn Smith. He served in the Military during WWII. Jake worked as a finish carpenter during his life. He loved to dance, play cards, dominoes and eat hot tamales. Jake loved to eat at Western Sizzlin.
He is survived by his wife of 19 years, Almeda Smith; daughter, Candice Schuelke; stepdaughters, Susie McKee and husband Brent, Amber Capps and companion Larry Terrell; stepson, Nick Kramer and wife Charlotte; brother, Kenneth Smith; several step grandchildren, great grandchildren and great- great grandchildren.
Jake is preceded in death by his parents; son, Jay; siblings, Ruby Snyder, Olin Smith, Calvin Smith and Victor Smith.
