Obituary for Alwood Clayton Voth

A Celebration of Life Service for A. Clayton Voth age 95 of Enid will be Friday, 10:00am, May 14, 2021 at the Crosspoint Church (formerly Enid Mennonite Brethren Church) with Rev. Al McVety and Rev. Nate Templin officiating. Burial will follow in the Enid Mennonite Brethren Cemetery under the direction of Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home.

Clayton was born June 13, 1925 in Enid to Cornelius J. and Anna C. Benke Voth and went to be with his Lord and Savior early Thursday, May 6, 2021 in Golden Oaks Skilled Nursing Center. He grew up in Enid and graduated from Enid High School in 1943. He married Stella Drumm on May 12, 1946 in Enid and she passed away November 15, 2011.

Clayton was a lifetime and active member of Enid Mennonite Brethren Church where he served on the Board of Trustees, a Deacon, and a Sunday school teacher. He was the Director of Youth for Christ in the 1960’s, active in Gideons International, and the Christian Business Men’s Committee. His love for Christ was very important and he served Christ all of his life. Clayton started his working career at Banfield Packing and in 1944 started working for Franks Machine Company which later became Speed Star and he retired in 1988 after 44 years. In 1973 he started VRV Drilling Company and sold it in 2003.
Clayton is survived by his children; Dennis and wife Patti Voth, Mike and wife Cheryl Voth, and Peggy and husband Phil Templin, 7 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren and numerous other family members.

He was preceded in death by his brother Albert Voth and sister Anna Toews.

Memorials may be made to Crosspoint Church with Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home serving as custodians of the funds.
