Obituary for David Allen O'Neal
A Celebration of Life Service for David O’Neal, 61, of Enid, will be 2:00 pm, Tuesday, September 28, 2021, at Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home Chapel with Deacon Tony Crispo officiating. Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home. The family will receive friends Monday, Sept. 27th from 7:00 to 8:30 pm at the funeral home.
David Allen O’Neal was born to Ernest O’Neal and Paulene O’Neal in Enid Oklahoma on January 13, 1960. He is preceded in death by both parents and his brother Ernest O’Neal Jr. He is survived by his wife Susan O’Neal, their two children and their families; daughter, Misty Clark and husband Daniel; granddaughter, Sarah Dayball and spouse Sam Dayball; son Michael Humphries and wife Brandy; two granddaughters and grandson; Rebecca Green and husband Will; Bailey Humphries and husband Corbin; and great-granddaughter, Diana Jean; and his sister Paula Kirtland and husband Ryan. David also leaves his fur baby Chloe.
David had a zeal for life and people, and lived to the fullest. David liked to drive fast, but he knew when to slow down and enjoy the moment. As a truck driver, he enjoyed seeing everything our country had to offer. He would take his family with him when he could and they would take vacations to Disneyland, Las Vegas, Mexico and The Mall of America and many other adventures. David enjoyed talking to everyone and never met a stranger. He could strike up a conversation about anything and everything. This man was never wrong, and even if he was wrong, he would never say he was wrong, he would simply say he wasn’t right. David would be quick with a joke to make you laugh and would be quick to cry when watching a heartfelt movie. That was David in a nutshell, living life with all the emotions and passions it brought. One of his greatest passions was his football team, the Dallas Cowboys. He enjoyed going to games if he could, and enjoyed watching the games with his family. He would be invested, and yell at the television or want to argue a play call, but again that was David; always invested in life. David’s greatest passion though was his family. As a husband, he worked throughout his life to ensure his wife and kids were provided for with more than just what they needed. David enjoyed seeing Susan want for nothing and having what she wanted. He would try to be creative over the holidays with gifts he thought were neat or different, but always knew when to get something more traditional and sentimental. David believed in passing on traditions to his children; like the importance of family gathering over the holidays, family dinners and family breakfast. David passed along the importance of hard work, doing things yourself, and standing for yourself. He taught his children things like how to fish, work on cars, how to drive, and how not to be afraid to try something new. The most important thing David passed to his family is to cherish the time you have with each other. David O’Neal was a man that lived life to the fullest and made the world a better place with him in it.
