Obituary for Barbara S. Humphrey (Rhoads)
A Celebration of Life Service for Barbara S. Humphrey age 74 of Enid will be 2:00 pm Wednesday at the Ladusau-Evans Chapel with Pastor Don Tines officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home.
Barbara was born July 3, 1947 in Montgomery, AL to David Rhoads and Beatrice Perreira Rhoads and passed away Friday, September 24, 2021 in the Select Specialty Hospital in Oklahoma City. She was raised in Alabama and later moved Orange County, California where she graduated from high school. She married Max Humphrey on December 24, 1965 in Westminster, CA. and he passed away August 31, 2008. Barbara and Max moved back to Enid in 1976. She was a charter member of West Willow Community Church.
Barbara’s passion was taking care of children. She had a day care in her home where she raised lots of kids. She always called them her kids.
She is survived by daughter, Desiree Reynolds of Enid, and son, Michael Humphrey of Enid; four grandchildren: Matthew, Brittany, Jade, and Blake; great grandchildren: Matthias, Jalen, Serenity, Myka, Max, Piper, and Bryler ; siblings; Felix and Nancy Norsworthy, Betty Dutcher, Diane and Dennis Morrow, and Tony Rhoads and several other family members.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Memorials may be made to the Enid Shrine Club Transportation Fund with Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home as custodian of the funds.
