Obituary for Todd Leslie Dowers

Funeral Services for Todd Dowers will be held 10:00am, Friday, February 25, 2022 at Enid Seventh-Day Adventist Church, with David Miller officiating. Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home.
Todd was born March 27, 1956 in Enid to Carl Marion and Willa Dean (Jennings) Dowers, and passed away February 19, 2022. Todd attended school in Enid at the Opportunity School from early childhood through his young adult years, where his favorite activity was bowling. Todd also participated in the Special Olympics in the running events. Todd enjoyed helping on the farm, feeding the cows and bringing in wheat harvest.
Todd was a member of the Enid Seventh-Day Adventist Church where he loved to sing and socialize with the other members of the Church. Todd never met a stranger, and you had not been officially greeted until you had a hearty handshake. His favorite conversations were about his sports teams the Dallas Cowboys, OU and the Thunder, but his opening line was always “did you bring my pop cans”.
Todd enjoyed traveling, especially his trips to Branson. Todd loved to go out for dinner but somehow always left his wallet at home. Above all, Todd loved spending time with his family. He had a great memory about past fun times with the family and even remembered the funny things you wished he would forget.
Todd is survived by his brothers, Tim Dowers and wife Jo Lynn, Randy Dowers; sister, Lori Dowers; brother-in-law, Craig Stokes; nieces and nephews, Melissa Stokes, Christopher Stokes, Cory and wife Christine Dowers and Andrew Dowers, Jeramie Dowers and Ben Dowers, Sarah Rivera; and several great nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Patricia Stokes.
Memorial donations may be made to Special Olympics with Ladusau-Evans serving as custodian of the funds.
