She married Kelly Ray Fischer on October 2, 1999 at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Breckenridge, Oklahoma. Their only son Kellyn was born September 20, 2004 and was the joy of their lives. Esther and Kelly were members of Willow View United Methodist Church where she sang in the choir, and was a member of the Truth Seekers Sunday School Class. She was very involved with the church and was on several committees, but the children’s ministry held a special place in her heart. She was very active in Boy Scouts, serving as a Troop Leader with Kellyn’s Troop 27; going on many campouts throughout the year. She received several awards for her dedication and leadership from the Scouts and the church.
