Barbara (Bobbie) Ann Firestone/Morrow/Honabarger
November 5, 1949 - June 19, 2025
The angels in heaven are singing rejoicefully with the arrival of Bobbie Honabarger age 75 years, 7 months, and 14 days. Bobbie left for her new heavenly mansion quietly from her home with her family by her side in Enid, Oklahoma on Thursday, June 19, 2025, at 2:11 a.m...
Bobbie was born November 5, 1949, to Robert Ray Firestone and Dorothy Ruth Getz Firestone in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. After graduating from Penn Hills High School in 1968, she married her sweetheart Patrick Morrow and soon became a Navy wife for 3 years. With Pat gone overseas, Bobbie lived in an apartment next to her parents in Homestead, PA until Pats return. She lived in a few Pittsburgh boroughs before settling in Monroeville, PA. During this time, she gave birth to 2 boys and 2 girls during the 30 years of marriage to Pat.
After her divorce from Pat, she meets retired Air Force Master Sergeant Thomas Lee Honabarger through a mutual friend. They married on October 2, 1999, in Brownsville, Texas and lived in Del City, Oklahoma. They moved around the country following Tom's job as a Junior ROTC instructor and computer technology instructor until they finally landed May of 2005 in Enid, Oklahoma where Bobbie's sister lived. Tom started working for Enid Typewriter Company until his retirement in August 2024. Bobbie worked during this time at Focus Institute, Hope Outreach, and The Commons as an Administrative Assistant where she was awarded the Enid Reader Choice Award for Administrative Assistant in 2015. She retired in April 2018.
Bobbie had many talents throughout her life. At an early age, she helped with chores and learned how to cook; and boy was she a great cook. She made all kinds of dishes and desserts to not only feed family and friends, but to also fundraise at her church Monroeville Assembly in PA., her children's Christian school, and Tom's Computer students every Friday after tests. Her claim to fame though was a crafts maker. If you needed a crafts project no matter the size, she was the go-to girl to get it done. From giant wooden pencils as gifts to teachers to 8-foot tall Santas at Christmas to her specialty as a floral arraignment master. She could make any arraignment from a simple flowerpot to entire Thanksgiving or Christmas décor at convention halls using unique live or dry items with perfection. She even appeared on several decorating shows with Cornerstone TV in Pittsburgh demonstrating how to make simple but great decorations from common items.
Bobbie's life revolved around her family, friends, and her dog Kizzie. She was loved by all who knew her. Her joy was her grandkids who called her Honey. She always had a smile for whoever needed it. Her faith could move mountains. Above all, she loved Jesus and Family.
Bobbie is survived by her siblings David, Debbie, and Lynn. Her husband Tom of 26 years. Sons Ron and Reid Morrow, Daughter Briana Gardner, Stepsons Jason, Tom II Honabarger, and stepdaughter Amanda Mellor. Grand Children Cade, Jamin, Rylee, Ezra, and Gideon Gardner, Nathan and Vanessa Honabarger, Chloe Rush, Katrina Hulinsky, Steven and Aidan Mellor. Great Grand Children Nora, Foster, Lincoln, Hudson, and Atticus, all of them Gardners.
She is predeceased by her parents, Bob and Dorothy, daughter Bridgett, and stepson Clifford, and the best pet dog ever Kizzie the mini schnauzer.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Enid SPCA with Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home and Crematory serving as funds custodians. The family will have a private memorial at a later date and time in Pittsburgh, Pa..
