Early in afternoon of July 16th, the angel of the Lord tapped Belva Lamb on her shoulder and said, "Belva, it's time to come home." Without time passing she left this temporary earthly home to her eternal home in heaven. She was a great mother. In so many ways the consummate matriarch - Protector, Defender, Comforter. She was loving, nurturing, caring and loyal to the end. Born at her family's home in Billings, Oklahoma in 1936. Her father, a school band teacher, hoped his daughter would grab an instrument, but a baton was the only object she truly wanted. That baton would ultimately shape her professional life. Teaching twirling took her across the country and to Europe. She started a small twirling business while in college and operated that business until a few years ago. She produced multiple feature twirlers for colleges all around the country. Her numerous achievements in the Twirling World were Nationally recognized by the Induction of Belva into the National Twirling Hall Of Fame located in Janesville, Wisconsin! She prepared young ladies for Miss Oklahoma in talent, interview and modeling.

Belva married Norman A. Lamb and the rest was history! Republican politics and Campaigning became their way of life for over 50 years. She also served as President of the Garfield County Republican Women Club - not once, not twice, but 5 times! Belva has campaigned , knocked doors, walked in parades, put up yard signs, placed bumper stickers on cars, made thousands of phone calls...... not just for her husband and son but for numerous other Oklahoma Republican Candidates. Belva also volunteered in the community and at church where she taught a women's Sunday school class and at times starred in the Christmas Pageant.

Well into her eighties she retained her youthful beautiful. Norman always said she looked pretty in a dress, blue jeans or teaching twirling in a sweatshirt. To her daughters' chagrin she was often mistake for one of them. She also had a pretty good sense of humor. Often using it to make a point.

She had so much pride in her family. Adult children Kim Akers (husband Gene), Fawn Lamb, and Todd Lamb (wife Monica). Grandchildren Blake Ingmire (wife Kelsey), Kalli Turnbow (husband Brandon), Aly Meadors (husband Collin), Griffin Lamb and Lauren Lamb, and 6 great grandkids: London, Brodie, Olivia, Harper, Kit and Millie.

Mom was the family's biggest cheerleader in sports, activities and opportunities. She also wasn't bashful on sharing her unvarnished opinion on just about anything. You can replace a lot of things, but you cannot replace a mom.

Our family is thankful to The Arbors in Enid for such great care. We thank our loving sister Kim for doing so much for our Mom these last few years. We are thankful Mom is no longer in pain or discomfort, but we will miss her. Our family will miss her. And we know I will see her again.

A Celebration of Life Service for Belva will be 2:00 pm Monday, July 28, 2025 at the Ladusau-Evans Chapel with Dan Heath officiating. A private family burial will follow in the Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home and Crematory.
