Burnece J Schultz

A Celebration of Life Service for Burnece J. Schultz, 99, of Enid, will be 2:00pm, Thursday, September 10, 2026, at the Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home Chapel, with Pastor Terry Chick officiating. Burial will follow at the Memorial Park Cemetery; service arrangements are under the direction of Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home and Crematory. The family will receive friends from 6-7:00 PM on Wednesday, September 9, 2026 at the funeral home.

Burnece was born on September 19, 1926, in Merced, California to Pete and Martha (Koehn) Smith, and passed away on September 6, 2026, in Enid.

Burnece graduated from Carrier High School and, after graduation, worked at Woolworth for a short time. In October 1946, she married her childhood friend, Lindy (Leonard). Together, they made their home in Enid, where Burnese helped Lindy with his homebuilding business while raising their five children. Her family was the center of her life, and she dedicated herself to creating a loving home for them.

Burnece had a talent for sewing and quilting, and she lovingly made her own clothes as well as clothing for her children. Over the years, she created many beautiful quilts for her children and grandchildren, giving them treasured reminders of her love and handiwork. She was also a long-time and devoted member of Bible Baptist Church.

Burnece is preceded in death by her parents; her husband Lindy; four sisters, Barbara, Genevieve, Betty and Joan; one brother, Leroy; and two grandsons, Mark and Bret Green. She is survived by her five children, Barbara and husband Stan Green; Leonard Raymond and wife Sheryl Schultz; Gary and wife Karol Schultz; John Schultz; and Marcie and husband Steve Potter; numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.

Memorial contributions can be made to Hospice Circle of Love, with Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home and Crematory serving as custodians of the funds.
