Carol Jean Vincent

A Celebration of Life for Carol Jean Vincent, age 79, of Enid, will be 2:00 pm, Thursday, February 12, 2026, at Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Jim Edmison officiating. Burial will follow in Mt. Vernon Cemetery, Lamont, Oklahoma. Cremation and service arrangements are under the direction of Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home and Crematory.

Carol Jean Vincent passed away on Sunday, February 8, 2026.

Carol was born on September 28, 1946, in Enid, Oklahoma, to Ralph and Dorothy Bobbitt. She grew up in Lamont, Oklahoma, and later devoted her life to her family and to educating children.

Carol graduated from the University of Central Oklahoma in 1969 and began her career as an elementary educator in the Houston, Texas area, then taught in Caldwell, Kansas, before returning to the Enid area. She taught at Drummond Public Schools for one year before marrying J.C. Vincent on July 4, 1976. From 1976 to 1986, Carol was a stay-at-home mother. She then returned to the classroom, teaching third grade at Harrison Elementary until its closure, and later at Hayes Elementary in Enid until her retirement. Carol dedicated 30 years of her life to teaching and touched countless lives through her commitment to education.

Carol was a devoted wife and mother who loved her family deeply.

She is survived by her husband, J.C. Vincent of Enid; daughter Nicole Steuart and husband Adam Steuart of Enid; brothers John Bobbitt and wife Sheryl of Edmond, Oklahoma; Mike Bobbitt and wife Cindy of Lamont, Oklahoma; and Jerry Lanning and wife Monica of Ponca City, Oklahoma.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Ralph and Dorothy Bobbitt, and her son, Kyle Vincent.

Memorial contributions in Carol's name may be made to Hayes Elementary School with Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home serving as custodian of the funds.
