Cheryl Ann Felt - February 12, 1944 - June 15, 2026

Cheryl Ann Felt (née Evans), 82, of Tyler, Texas, passed away peacefully at her residence on June 15, 2026, surrounded by the love of her family.

Born February 12, 1944, in Enid, Oklahoma, Cheryl was the daughter of Robert L. Evans and Betty M. Evans (Gamble). She graduated from Enid High School and studied business and accounting at Phillips University.

On June 3, 1961, Cheryl married John Patrick Felt Sr. of Enid, the love of her life. Together they built a life grounded in faith, devotion, and family, and were blessed with their son, John Patrick Felt Jr. They shared 55 precious years of marriage.

Cheryl served as Office Manager at Enid Medical Associates for 40 years, from April 1965 to February 2005, supporting Doctors Champlin, Tagge, Smith, Rickman, and Shepherd with dedication and care.

In retirement, Cheryl and John remained active in service and fellowship at First Baptist Church, where they were lifelong members. They enjoyed traveling, volunteering at St. Mary's, spending time with friends, and spoiling their grandchildren.

After John's passing in 2016, Cheryl moved from her hometown to be closer to family, first to South Carolina near her sister, Lynn, and later to The Blake Assisted Living Center in Tyler, Texas, to be closer to her son and granddaughters. Wherever she lived, Cheryl formed lasting

friendships, embraced new experiences, and found joy in the lives of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. At The Blake, she especially enjoyed serving as the Residence Ambassador and celebrating the growing family she loved so deeply.

Cheryl was preceded in death by her husband, John Felt Sr.; her parents, Robert and Betty Evans; and her in-laws, Jack O. Felt and Wynnelle Hewitt Felt. She is survived by her son, John Jr., and his wife, Tricia, of Emory, Texas; grandchildren Kaylea and Stephen Rayleigh of Wills Point, Texas, Garrett and Allison Felt of Henderson, Nevada, and Erin and Joshua Meador of Heath, Texas; great-grandchildren Sloane Meador, Maxine Rayleigh, Joshua Felt, and Berkley Meador; her sister, Lynn Rummery, and her husband, Jim, of Lindale, Texas; and nieces Michelle Moody of Florida and Sheila Whitaker of Texas.

Cheryl's family will bring her back home to Enid to rest beside John and to honor her life with a memorial service on Saturday, July 18, at 3:00 p.m. at Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to The First Baptist Church Legacy Fund in Cheryl's memory.

Her warmth, faith, and devotion to family will be lovingly remembered by all who knew her.
