A Celebration of Life service for Constance "Connie" Hulse will be held on October 4, 2025 - a day that would have marked her 74th birthday. Cremation and services are under the direction of Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home and Crematory. Born October 4, 1951, in Blackwell, Oklahoma, to Bill and Janet Sutherland Raffety, Connie lived a life marked by love, laughter, service, and strength. She passed away on August 2, 2025, in Oklahoma City, with her family by her side. Connie grew up in Blackwell, graduating from Blackwell High School in 1969. She went on to earn her bachelor's degree in physical education from the University of Central Oklahoma in 1974. Later in life, when their four sons were older, she became a licensed practical nurse, earning her LPN certification from Autry Tech in 1997. On January 6, 1973, Connie married the love of her life, Gary Hulse, in her hometown of Blackwell. Together, they built a beautiful life rooted in family, faith, and community. They moved to Enid in 1984. Connie had a heart for service. She was a proud member of Blackwell P.E.O. and volunteered with the American Red Cross. In Enid, she was a member of the Junior Welfare League (JWL). She enjoyed playing golf with her golf buddies and was active in the Oakwood Country Club Ladies Golf Association. Connie enjoyed traveling with Gary, particularly ocean and river cruises, often with old friends. But her favorite place was the beach in Cancun, Mexico. She found her greatest joy in her family. Connie is survived by her devoted husband, Gary Hulse; her four sons and their families: Jeremy and Michelle Hulse, Blake and Darcey Hulse, Creighton and Amanda Hulse, and Trent and Jill Hulse; her eight cherished grandchildren; and her brother, Mick, and his wife Carolyn Raffety. She was preceded in death by her parents and her sister, Mary Glenn Stephenson. To honor Connie's giving spirit, memorial contributions may be made to Loaves and Fishes or the Enid Community Clinic, with Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home and Crematory serving as custodian of the funds. Friends and family are invited to share condolences online, and the Celebration of Life service will be viewable at www.ladusauevans.com. Though she is no longer with us in person, Connie's warmth, laughter, and love remain alive in the countless lives she touched. She lived fully, gave generously, and will be deeply missed - and joyfully remembered.
