Diana Wiens

Diana Toews Wiens, age 81, of San Jose, CA, formerly of Kremlin, OK, passed away Monday, August 25, 2025, in San Jose. Diana was born October 4, 1943, in Enid, OK to Johnny R and Sarah (Wiebe) Toews.

Diana grew up in Kremlin, OK and attended Kremlin School. She graduated with the class of 1961, she attended Tabor College, Hillsboro, KS and graduated with a degree in Elementary Education in 1965.

In 1965 Diana married Richard Wiens of San Jose, CA, and they began their married life in San Jose, and where she began her teaching career. She taught for 43 years and throughout her teaching career she received various accolades and, most notably, was honored as teacher of the year on two separate occasions

Diana was a woman of deep faith and dedicated her life to Jesus at a young age. God, her children and her family were of the most importance to her. She inspired many with her positive, outlook and deep faith and trust in God.

She loved style and sparkle, often remembered for her fashionable flare and the way she carried herself with grace.

In 2024, as her health declined, she moved to Merrill Gardens Assisted Living.

Diana was proceeded in death by her parents, Johnny, R and Sarah Toews. She is survived by her husband Richard of the home; two sons, Rick Wiens and wife, Marjena, Saratoga, CA and Michael Wiens and wife Nicole, Jacksboro, TX; a sister, JoAnn Rice and husband, Sam, Edmond, OK; and grandchildren, Kylie Wiens and Mikey Wiens both of Jacksboro, TX. Diana leaves behind a legacy of faith and love. The light she shared in life is still shining in this world.

She will be laid to rest on a later date at the Enid Mennonite Brethren Cemetery, with Reverend Jim Edmison officiating. Service arrangements are under the direction of Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home and Crematory.
