Donna Nimmo

A Celebration of Life Service for Donna Strange Nimmo will be held on Saturday, August 23, 2025, beginning at 3:00 p.m. at the Sharks Den, 213 E Maine, and continuing at 4:00 p.m. at Lil Cleo's, 802 N 26th Street, in Enid. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home & Crematory.

Donna was born on November 9, 1954, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, and was lovingly adopted by Elmo "Bill" and Genevieve (McNabb) Strange. She was raised in Enid, Oklahoma, where she attended local schools and graduated from Enid High School.

Donna married Roy-Gene Nimmo and together they built a life rooted in family and community. She dedicated 25 years of service to the Oklahoma Department of Human Services, helping others with compassion and integrity. Later, she continued her commitment to care by working at Mercy Hospital.

In her younger years, Donna loved visiting the dunes and had a fun-loving spirit. She enjoyed playing slots, pool, and darts, and was a faithful OSU football fan. Above all, Donna found her greatest joy in her family-especially in spoiling her beloved grandson, Keshawn.

She is survived by her daughter Deanna; grandson Keshawn and great-grandson Keshawn Jr.; her sister Jaynie and husband Charlie; Sherri Bancroft; goddaughter Melissa Watson; and a large extended family of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Donna was preceded in death by her parents; her son, Donovan Q. Nimmo; husband, Gene Nimmo; dear companion, Earl Skaggs; her soulmate, Mike Prather; and three sisters and three brothers.

Donna's legacy of love, laughter, and generosity will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.

Memorial contributions may be made in Donna's name to the Parkinson Foundation. Friends are invited to come by Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home and Crematory to sign the guestbook on Thursday and Friday, August 21 and 22.
