Funeral Service for Doris Jean (Beane) George, age 98, of Enid, will be 10:00am, Monday, December 8, 2025, at the First Nazarene Church, with Pastor Bruce Johnson officiating, with burial following at 2:00pm, at the Tryon Cemetery. Service arrangements are under the direction of Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home and Crematory.
Doris was born on November 25, 1927, in Deer Creek, Minnesota to Jay and Ada (Tervola) Beane, and passed away on November 26, 2025, in Enid.
Doris graduated from Tryon High School, in Tryon OK. On June 7, 1946, she married Clyde E George in Hayward, CA. After Clyde was discharged from the Navy, they moved to Perkins, OK where they owned and operated a business. After selling the business, they moved to Chandler, OK until 1964, when they moved back to Enid. Doris worked for Paul Hedley Oil for over twenty years, until retirement. She was very active in the American Iris Society and won many awards with her flowers.
Doris is preceded in death by her parents; husband Clyde; daughter Linda; brother Virgil Beane; and sister Marilyn Beane Gladden. She is survived by her son Marcus and wife Charlene George of Enid, and their daughter Radona George Hood of Jenks, OK; two granddaughters Amanda Goebel of Hot Springs, AR, and Lisa Griffith of Hot Springs, AR; three brothers, Jay Beane of Bremerton, WA; Larry Beane of Pensacola, FL; and Wesley Beane of Perkins, OK; and one sister, Dixie McKinney of Austin, TX; and several nieces and nephews.
Memorial donations in Doris's name can be made to the Enid First Church of the Nazarene, with Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home and Crematory serving as custodian of the funds.
