Dorothy was born April 20, 1936, in Hennessey, Oklahoma, to Bruce and Nellie (Fauchier) Jones, and passed peacefully at her home in Fairmont, on September 16, 2025.
Dorothy was raised outside of Hennessey with her two brothers and one sister on the family farm. She attended Hennessey Public Schools, graduating in 1954. She married Lloyd Fincher, and they had three children, Connie, Raymond and Linda. In 1968, they made Garber, Oklahoma their home where Dorothy worked for the Garber Coop. Sadly, she lost Lloyd in 1974, but later on, she met Edgar Low, and they were married in 1986. They moved to the farm and enjoyed many years of farming and raising cattle. After retiring from farming, she enjoyed spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Dorothy was a member of the Garber Christian Church, CWF and the D.A.R. (Daughters of the American Revolution). She was a supporter of Enid Masonic Lodge and DeMolay.
Dorothy was an avid crafter, crocheting many blankets, toys and different things for her friends and family. She painted beautiful cards for many occasions and loved gifting her Christmas cards and ornaments. Dorothy loved to "sit and visit." Her home was always open and full of coffee, laughter and conversations that could turn from heartfelt to hilarious in an instant. She never missed an opportunity for a perfectly placed one liner. Her humor was kind, and teasing was a sign of affection. She cherished the time spent around the table with family and friends remembering the past, discussing the present and planning for the future.
Dorothy is preceded in death by her parents, husbands Lloyd Fincher and Edgar Low, son Raymond, two brothers, Marion and Glen, and sister, Francis. She is survived by daughters, Connie Fincher, of Enid, Linda Powell and husband Keith, of Garber, seven grandchildren, Joshua Johnson, of Fairmont, Jenifer Tousignant and husband Allen, of Garber, Randy Fincher and wife Jeri, of Fairmont, Heather Riley and husband Daniel, of Garber, Joey Fincher and wife Shelby, of Garber, Brandy Fagan, of Garber, and Trinity Miller and husband Kyle, of Piedmont, Ok, and eleven great-grandchildren also survive Dorothy; Alyson, Lincoln, Lane, Kimber, Jordan, Corban, Nevaeh, Carlie, Laramie, Ayden and Adelyn.
