A Celebration of Life Service for Douglas, "Doug" Dickerson, age 73, of Enid, will be 2:00pm, Saturday, August 16, 2025, at the Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor David Jones officiating. The family will receive friends from 5-7pm, Friday August 15, 2025, at the funeral home. Service and cremation arrangements are under the direction of Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home and Crematory.
Doug was born on December 17, 1951, in Enid, OK to Dale and Roberta (Green) Dickerson, and passed away on August 1, 2025, in Enid surrounded by his family.
Doug graduated from Enid High School in 1970, after high school he attended, and graduated from Southwestern Oklahoma State University in 1974, with a bachelor's degree in education. He began his teaching career at Emerson Jr. High, where he taught Oklahoma History. While teaching, he obtained his master's degree in education from Northwestern Oklahoma State University.
After teaching for seven years, he found a new passion for banking. He was employed at Northwest Bank for thirteen years, following the closure of the bank, he became Branch Manager at Commercial Federal Bank for two years. He retired from Bank of Kremlin after twenty-one years as the CFO and Senior Vice President in 2018.
After three years together, Doug married Gail Copeland on September 14, 2002. They were married for twenty-three years before his passing.
Doug was a long-time member of the Moose Lodge. He was an avid OSU fan, and he enjoyed traveling with his family and friends. He also enjoyed attending anything involving his children and grandchildren.
Doug was preceded in death by his parents; older brother Bob; older sister Norma; and twin brother Brad Dickerson. He is survived by his wife Gail; children, Dan (Jaime) Butler, Gabe (Lyndsay) Watts; five grandchildren; and three great grandchildren.
Memorial contributions in Doug's name can be made to Enid SPCA, Furever Friends, or Woodring Wall of Honor with Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home serving as custodian of the funds.
